Admissions to the school are managed by the Local Authority. This is for new admissions in September but also for In-Year Transfers or New Arrivals.

Children who are five between 1st September and 31st August may enter the Reception provision in the Foundation Stage in the September of that year.
Before the children start school parents will be invited to a meeting where they will meet the classteacher and find out more about the school.
All children due to start school will be invited to spend half a day in the Foundation Stage, usually in July.
Children transferring to the school or arriving from abroad during the school year will be invited with their parents to a welcome meeting with the head teacher. At this meeting previous educational experiences and achievements will be discussed to ensure the child receives the most appropriate provision.
Arrangements for the Admission of Pupils with Disabilities
As a relatively new school building we are fortunate that accessibility for children with disabilities is not an issue in the majority of cases. Entrances into the school are either level or there are ramped accesses. Within the building the doors are the correct width to allow for wheelchair access and the corridors are wide and spacious. A variety of colours have been used throughout the building to make it more accessible to visually impaired children too. For children whose classes are situated upstairs we have a lift for their use. This is closely monitored and maintained.
The playgrounds are on one level and new developments in the play areas ensure access for all children.
As well as making the building and grounds more accessible the school works hard to ensure that children with a variety of additional needs have access to the school curriculum. We have a large number of support staff to assist pupils with their learning and resource development. Our Learning Support and Early Help Senior Leader leads a team of Learning Support Assistants who are employed specifically to support individual children with statemented needs. This may involve supporting children’s personal, social, health and hygiene needs as well as their learning.
The school will endeavour to meet the needs of children with disabilities but in some cases it may not be possible to provide the level of staffing or care that a child may need. Full assessments will always be carried out to ensure that your child receives the best possible care within the best possible provision. The school works closely with a variety of other agencies to ensure children are appropriately placed either in our school or special provision. All of this work involves a close partnership with parents. You are very much part of the process.
