Design and Technology
Our Design and Technology curriculum enables all children to follow the 6 interrelated principles, ensuring they design and make something (a product) for someone (a user) for some purpose (with a function). Children have opportunities to make choices and be original in their thinking (design decisions and innovation), while making real products (authenticity). The technical skills and knowledge build over time, with tasks involving: Food; Textiles; Structures; Mechanical and Electrical Systems, along with elements of Computer Aided Design and Programming. We provide DT entrepreneurial opportunities each year, to further encourage links with possible career opportunities and aspirations for their future.
