Here at Broadfield, we have been developing our site for the children to use when participating in a Forest School session. Since the beginning of the academic year, we have created a fire circle and are currently forming a pond with a dipping platform as well as a wild garden. All of these things will enhance the experience of the children interacting with their natural surroundings.
The aims of Forest School are the enable children to explore, learn and play in a safe and supportive natural environment. It is a unique opportunity for children to develop their teamwork skills, improve confidence and initiate their own learning outside of a classroom. Our vision is for a growing movement of children that are passionate about Forest School and the benefits is has on them as people.
